Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Associate to provide comprehensive medical care for pets, including diagnosing and treating a variety of health issues, dental problems, and injuries. The Veterinary Associate will be responsible for communicating diagnoses and treatment plans to pet owners, preparing animals for surgical procedures, and administering vaccinations. Additionally, you will be expected to address inquiries from pet owners and offer guidance on general pet care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting thorough examinations of pets to identify illnesses, diseases, and injuries.
  • Administering treatments by prescribing medications, managing wound care, and performing surgical procedures.
  • Collecting and analyzing samples such as blood, urine, and feces as necessary.
  • Utilizing radiographic equipment for advanced diagnostic evaluations.
  • Providing humane euthanasia for pets when medical interventions are not viable.
  • Performing spay and neuter surgeries.
  • Offering post-operative care advice to pet owners.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records for each pet following treatments and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
  • Valid state veterinary license.
  • Demonstrated experience in veterinary practice.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to think critically and respond swiftly in various situations.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service aptitude.
