As a key member of the Ballad Health team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and leading a team of nursing professionals to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Job Summary:- Provide compassionate and patient-centered care to assigned patients, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
- Develop and guide collaborative collegial practice that delivers safe and competent care based on meticulous application of the nursing process.
- Work directly with staff on the unit to ensure compliance with patient care and service problem resolution.
- Participate in patient care quality and performance improvement through data collection, aggregation, and analysis of relevant key indicators of quality.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives for the enhancement of patient care delivery.
- Assist with patient assignments, planning, organizing, evaluating, and supervising nursing care within the department.
- Facilitate communication within the department and interdepartmentally.
- Identify conflict at the unit level and initiate resolution and/or escalate through the chain of command as indicated.
- Provide direction and support for nursing staff.
- Serve as a role model for clinical and ethical practice within the department.
- Plan and conduct a minimum of two hours of job-related educational programs.
- Verbalize understanding of Shared Governance Model and willingly serve on at least one Shared Governance, hospital committee, task force, or project to improve patient care or work area.
- College degree required. BSN preferred.
- Health care related Bachelor's degree or Associate nursing degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience required.
- One to three years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Relevant background in the clinical position applying for is preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- National Professional Nurse certification is desired.
- Valid and active RN license in the appropriate state for practice.
- AHA BLS certification is required.
- ACLS certification obtained within one year of assuming the position and maintained continuously.
