Role Overview: Inside Sales Representative
In the position of Inside Sales Representative, you will not only be selling agricultural machinery but also assisting farmers in reaching their objectives through state-of-the-art technology and exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include engaging directly with agricultural producers, offering solutions that encompass both new and pre-owned John Deere agricultural machinery, associated technologies, and value-added services. You will be expected to maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all equipment commonly utilized in your region, as well as competitive brands, ensuring you can provide optimal recommendations to enhance our customers' operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing sales strategies and forecasts
- Managing customer relationships through our CRM software
- Staying informed on agronomy and precision agriculture practices
- Monitoring competitor activities
- Overseeing equipment deliveries
- Participating in field demonstrations
Qualifications:
- Understanding of current agricultural trends
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as necessary
- Physical capability to operate, mount, dismount, secure, and transport equipment safely
- Ability to sit, stand, and squat for extended periods
- Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Strong mathematical abilities
- Proficient computer skills
While a few years of account management or direct sales experience in agricultural machinery or a related field is highly desirable, we are open to mentoring candidates who demonstrate the right attitude. A bachelor's degree in business or an agricultural discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
