We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Private Equity Specialist and Asset Class Manager. This is a key role within our organization, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all investment activity in private equity asset classes, advising the CIO team on current and future allocation levels, and collaborating with external managers to evaluate the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all investment activity in private equity asset classes, including manager due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.
  • Advise the CIO team on current and future allocation levels, taking into account changing market conditions and risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with external managers to evaluate the portfolio, including third-party managers and general partners across various fund strategies.
  • Develop and maintain performance benchmarks, and establish formal manager oversight processes.
  • Produce materials and present to various governing committees, including local and global Investment Committees and senior management.
  • Assist in manager selection, and develop and maintain AIG Asset Class Frameworks.
  • Utilize AIG platforms to aggregate data and perform internal analysis, and attend AGMs and industry conferences as needed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in investment management or insurance asset management, with a focus on private equity investments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to infuse the internal investment process with new ideas.
  • MBA or CFA preferred, with experience with eFront or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical reasoning skills, with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Limited traveling, with a focus on supporting individuals, businesses, and communities through risk management and investment solutions.
