We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Associate to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our Program Strategy Teams, you will play a critical role in providing business and financial analysis support to drive our mission forward.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Support annual budgeting and financial planning processes, including partnering with Program Officers and the Strategy, Planning and Management teams to translate business strategy into mid and long-range forecasts and annual plans.
- Grant Due Diligence: Perform financial due diligence of grantees/vendors/organizations, evaluating their positions and risks.
- Grant Management: Support leadership to recommend and implement grants and develop appropriate mitigating strategies to manage financial and organizational risks.
- Financial Analysis and Advice: Provide financial and business perspectives in grant-making, and cultivate strong partnerships with business teams.
- Portfolio Management: Provide forecast support and portfolio allocation management for assigned PSTs, including the monitoring of actuals and forecasts to budget, with risk assessment and produce variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Perform analysis and provide financial advice to support resource allocation and decision-making.
- Grant Portfolio Management: Support data analyses to generate new insights on the grant portfolio, leading to improved allocation of resources.
- Grant Structuring: Structure grants to optimize cash disbursements in consideration of operational risks.
- Workflow Planning and Monitoring: Leverage tools and reports to plan and monitor workflow, forecast, and payout performance.
- Operational Excellence: Participate in cross-foundation projects to improve tools and practices in support of effective grant-making, pipeline management and operational excellence.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of financial planning experience, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Financial Planning and Analysis Skills: Experience with finance processes, such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting, etc.
- Grant Due Diligence and Financial Statement Analysis: Experience with organizational due diligence and financial statement analysis.
- Financial Statement Interpretation: Ability to interpret and understand financial statements.
- Analytical and Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills and ability to absorb and synthesize data, build quantitative financial models, and distill key insights.
- Relationship Building and Communication: Strong relationship building skills with shown ability to work with diplomacy, and flexibility, particularly as part of a team.
- Leadership and Influence: Ability to influence without formal authority and positively interact with staff at all levels within the organization.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed organization.
- Technical and Complex Financial Knowledge: Technical and complex financial knowledge preferred, including international finance and capital and currency markets.
We offer a competitive salary range of $103,300.00 to $155,000.00 USD, with actual placement in the range depending on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, and expertise.
