Job Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Navy Exchange facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience performing cleaning tasks using industrial type cleaning equipment and be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain restrooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax floors.
  • Clean, disinfect, and deodorize lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.
  • Clean mirrors and water fountains.
  • Dust ledges and woodwork.
  • Replace deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels, and soap.
  • Report any facility issues to the supervisor.
  • Clean offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, and other assigned areas.
  • Operate lightweight cleaning equipment.
  • Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets.
  • Dust, wax, and polish office furniture.
  • Wash walls, windows, and blinds.
  • Clean laundry rooms, washing machines, dryers, and vending machines.
Requirements:
  • 6 months experience performing cleaning tasks using industrial type cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:

This position is indoors and requires standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. There is a chance of cuts and bruises.
