Job Summary

As a Truck Driver in the Army National Guard, you play a vital role in supporting military operations. Your primary responsibility is to transport cargo and supplies, ensuring the Guard's equipment and personnel are always on the move.

In this role, you will operate a variety of wheeled vehicles and equipment, navigating through different terrain and road conditions. You will also be responsible for managing the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring the safety of personnel being transported, and employing defense techniques to protect yourself and your vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the proper loading and unloading of cargo on vehicles and trailers

• Employ convoy defense techniques to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment

• Identify and correct vehicle deficiencies to ensure optimal performance

• Prepare vehicles for movement/shipment by air, rail, or vessel

Requirements

• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35

• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards

• Must meet citizenship requirements

• Must be willing to serve in the Army National Guard and complete training and certification programs

Training and Certification

• Complete 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn basic Soldiering skills

• Complete 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT), where you will learn the skills and techniques necessary to operate military vehicles and equipment
