Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Pub Server - Bartender to join our team at Touchmark in the West Hills, Portland's prestigious full-service retirement community. As a Pub Server - Bartender, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, serving beer, wine, classic cocktails, and food to our residents while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers, read and listen to their preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders.
  • Plan drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials.
  • Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers.
  • Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Handle transactions, ensuring charges are accurate.
  • Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
  • Develop new cocktail recipes.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong task and time management abilities.
  • Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
