Position Overview:
The CT Imaging Specialist plays a vital role in patient care by utilizing advanced diagnostic imaging technology. This position is essential in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of patients through the production of high-quality CT scans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of all relevant patient and procedural information.
- Conduct computed tomography examinations.
- Accurately position and secure patients on CT scanning equipment.
- Initiate radiation exposure by activating the scanner.
- Administer intravenous injections and various radiographic contrast agents as required for procedures.
- Support the radiologist during biopsy and drainage operations.
- Maintain proficiency in all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
- Participate in on-call rotations and adhere to safety protocols as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an ARRT accredited institution (preferred).
Licensure and Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred).
- State licensure (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT or Radiologic Technologist (preferred).
- Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (preferred).
- Experience with Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) (preferred).
