We are currently looking for a Pre-Owned Vehicle Service Technician to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks outlined in maintenance and repair orders efficiently, adhering to dealership standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in various automotive systems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Provide accurate labor and time estimates for additional repairs.
  • Communicate mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
  • Engage in continuous learning through formal training sessions to keep up with evolving automotive technologies.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on new vehicles, documenting findings for necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure required components.
  • Assess assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is necessary.
  • Notify service advisors promptly if additional work is required, if outlined work is unnecessary, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
  • Document all performed work and recommendations on the repair order.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • ASE Certification is required.
  • Must be team-oriented, adaptable, and dedicated to providing a high level of customer service.
  • Proficient in using shop equipment, including wheel and tire tools, alignment systems, diagnostic tools, and AC equipment.
  • Familiarity with the latest automotive technologies and a strong problem-solving mindset are essential.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks, DMV screenings, and drug tests.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
