Radiation Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a per diem Radiation Therapist to join our team at Hackettstown Medical Center. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for administering prescribed doses of radiation to patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists' prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients
• Fabricate and use custom immobilization devices for accurate patient treatment
• Perform daily quality assurance of linear accelerators prior to patient treatment
• Educate patients and caregivers on radiation treatment
• Monitor patients for radiation side effects and alert nurses as necessary
• Charge capture patient treatment and review charges for accuracy

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
• 1-3 years of experience working as a Radiation Therapist (preferably)
• Active NJ Radiation Therapist License
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
