Job Summary

The University of New Mexico-Taos is seeking a highly skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the university's brand and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other key stakeholders to promote the university's image and reputation.
  • Lead crisis communications efforts to ensure timely and effective communication during emergencies and critical incidents.
  • Oversee the design and production of print and digital marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the communications team, including training and development opportunities.
  • Monitor and adapt the university's public image to ensure alignment with its desired reputation.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
