We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital. As a member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in radiologic technology. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting the optimal technical factors for each examination, ensuring accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Performing and completing diagnostic CT examinations with precision and care, utilizing auxiliary equipment as needed.
  • Assisting in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients.
  • Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients as required, utilizing devices and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Documenting all pertinent clinical information accurately and in a timely manner, obtaining informed consent and submitting completed fields within MEDITECH.
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols, keeping up-to-date with changes in the field through in-service studies, courses, or seminars.
  • Maintaining proactive and effective communication with patients and colleagues, including radiologists.
  • Ensuring the operation of equipment, maintaining cleanliness of tables and equipment, and restocking supplies as necessary.

Please note that this position may require rotating call assignments due to our facility's designation as a Level II Trauma Center.


Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical education (Radiologic Technology)
  • Valid ARRT (R) certification; ARRT (CT) certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years current/recent experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
