Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will provide exceptional nursing care tailored to the specific needs of our patient population, adhering to the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. You will manage daily office operations and collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless coordination of care. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient interviews to gather nursing histories and assess health knowledge, documenting findings accurately.
- Collecting vital signs, medical information, and diagnostic test results in preparation for physician evaluations.
- Advocating for patients by safeguarding their rights and addressing service-related concerns.
- Evaluating the necessity for referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources.

- Performing various procedures, including specimen collection and medication administration, while ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Supporting physicians during examinations and treatments by preparing necessary equipment and materials.
- Mentoring new staff and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
- Participating in emergency response teams and serving as a resource for nursing staff.
- Coordinating nursing care across departments, hospitals, and pharmacies.
- Upholding professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Engaging in continuous education to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Completing necessary pre-certifications and scheduling procedures as required.
- Adhering to all organizational policies and standards of conduct.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess an ADN, diploma, or equivalent education in nursing and hold a current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois. CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines is required within the first month of employment.
Skills and Abilities
Successful candidates will demonstrate independent nursing practice consistent with state regulations, accountability for their actions, and the ability to contribute to team efforts effectively.
Work Environment
