Fireplace Technician

We are a local chimney service company, Sweep-A-Chim, seeking a skilled Fireplace Technician to join our team. As a Fireplace Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining fireplaces and chimneys to ensure they are safe and functioning properly.

• Conduct thorough inspections of fireplaces and chimneys to identify any issues or potential hazards.
• Perform chimney sweeps to remove creosote, soot, and debris.
• Repair or replace chimney liners, caps, and dampers as needed.
• Provide recommendations to clients regarding maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
• Create and provide estimates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and follow proper procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, cleanings, and repairs.
• Communicate with clients and provide exceptional customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Accountable and reliable.
• Ability to use power tools.
• Ability to lift 80lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic carpentry and masonry knowledge.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Relevant certifications are a plus (NFI, CSIA, NCSG).
