About the Job

  • We are seeking a Correctional Facility Officer to join our team at Vets Hired. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order and discipline in our facility, ensuring the safety and security of detainees, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and logs on the computer system.
  • Process detainees in and out of the facility, including checking in personal belongings and safeguarding property.
  • Care for detainees, including feeding and checking on their welfare at regular intervals.
  • Clean the facility and maintain equipment to ensure it is in working order.
  • Provide general support with dispatch duties, including answering phones and taking messages.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 18 years of age and a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and ability to use cameras and other electronic devices.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
