Electrician and PLC Technician

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. is a leading company in the industry, and we are seeking an experienced Electrician and PLC Technician to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a continuous flow manufacturing or industrial environment with automated equipment.
The Electrician and PLC Technician will be responsible for performing electrical and PLC-related tasks, including installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical instrumentation, equipment, and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices. Additionally, the candidate will need to program and setup variable frequency drives and coordinate efforts with management, production, quality, maintenance, and other personnel to effectively utilize all equipment and processes and work toward continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing electrical and PLC-related tasks, including installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical instrumentation, equipment, and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices
- Programming and setting up variable frequency drives
- Coordinating efforts with management, production, quality, maintenance, and other personnel to effectively utilize all equipment and processes and work toward continuous process improvement
- Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a 2-year degree in Electronics or equivalent certification is preferred.
This is a full-time position requiring sufficient physical ability to work in a production setting. The work environment is fast-paced, with exposure to wet and humid conditions, fluctuations in ambient temperature, and noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
