As an OT, you will play a vital role in helping students develop essential skills for academic success and overall well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and collaborative efforts with educational staff and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' sensory, motor, and functional abilities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and provide direct occupational therapy services to students, addressing areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and visual perception.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans and classroom activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to educational staff on strategies and accommodations to enhance students' participation and engagement in the learning environment.
  • Monitor students' progress, meticulously document therapy sessions, and communicate findings with relevant team members.
  • Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input and recommendations for students' occupational therapy goals.
  • Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions within the field of occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field.
  • Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility for licensure.
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sensory integration, fine motor development, and adaptive equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
