Radiology Travel Technician

Tact Staff is currently seeking a Travel Radiology Technician for an exciting opportunity.

Position Overview
  • Specialty: Radiology Technician

  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week
  • Shift Length: 8 hours

Required Qualifications:
• Valid Limited X-Ray license with experience in extremities and orthopedics.
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an accredited program or national certification through recognized organizations.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant in an orthopedic environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient healthcare setting.
• Proficient in blood/lab draws and venipuncture.
• Experience in wound care and cast management.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Over 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient orthopedics.
• Familiarity with CS-Link/Epic and Allscripts.
• Experience with laboratory submissions and phlebotomy certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and accurately record vital signs and medical history.
  • Assist in monitoring department-specific data.
  • Communicate policies and procedures to patients within the scope of practice.
  • Prepare examination rooms according to patient needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and reprocess equipment as per guidelines.
  • Administer medications and perform lab work as directed by healthcare providers.
