Job Summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Park Ranger to join our team. As a Park Ranger, you will be responsible for enforcing federal laws and regulations, protecting natural and cultural resources, and providing exceptional customer service to visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce federal laws and regulations to protect park resources and visitors
  • Conduct patrols and investigations to prevent and respond to crimes and incidents
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve conservation and protection goals
  • Provide educational programs and services to promote park awareness and appreciation
  • Assist with emergency response and search and rescue operations
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a National Park Service law enforcement commission
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous duties
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in law enforcement or conservation
  • Knowledge of federal laws and regulations related to park management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Experience with emergency response and search and rescue operations
