We are seeking a board-certified/eligible general ob/gyn to join our team at AdventHealth Tampa as a faculty member for our Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and providing whole-person care as part of a team that values and respects physicians.

As a faculty member, you will work in collaboration with OBGYN hospitalists, Gynecologic Surgeons, FPMRS, and MFM physicians to create a team of general ob/gyn physicians.

Primary responsibilities will include seeing patients in the clinic, teaching in the clinic and hospital, and taking 5 (12-hour) call shifts per month.

Gynecologic surgery can be incorporated into your practice, although not required.

Scope of Core faculty responsibilities include participating in the recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, evaluation, and advancement of residents.

All Core Faculty members are expected to be role models of professionalism, demonstrate commitment to the delivery of safe, quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care, and demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents.

Additionally, this position offers leadership opportunities and the availability of participating in media events focused on patient education and community health.

Our leaders also offer mentoring if desired.

Hospital Description

Located in the city's uptown district, AdventHealth Tampa is a 536-bed tertiary hospital serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and the surrounding counties.

The hospital is a known leader in implementing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures and will soon open the Taneja Center for Surgery, a new six-story, state-of-the-art surgical and patient tower.

It's also home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research for over 30 years.

Other specialty services include 24-hour emergency care for adults and pediatrics, cardiovascular medicine, digestive health, neuroscience, orthopedics, women's services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, and sleep medicine.
