We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Pep Boys. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and Diagnose Vehicles: Use advanced tools and techniques to identify and diagnose issues with vehicles, including tire and automotive services, brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, suspension and alignment, and more.
- Repair and Maintain Vehicles: Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are running safely and efficiently, including brake and hydraulic repairs, exhaust system repairs, electrical system repairs, cooling system repairs, suspension and alignment repairs, and more.
- Explain Repairs to Customers: Clearly and concisely explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, ensuring that customers understand the work being done on their vehicles.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- Automotive Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry is required for this position.
- Technical Skills: A strong understanding of automotive systems and technologies, including brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, suspension and alignment, and more.
