Position Overview

Role:

The Field Service and Sales Trainee at Techo-Bloc serves as the vital link between our clients and their satisfaction. As a member of this team, you will engage with customers and dealers to conduct on-site repairs, maintenance, and installations. This dual role will also enhance your skills in lead generation, business development, and post-sale support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to regional customers and Techo-Bloc dealers to assess product issues, perform repairs, clean, and address client inquiries. Execute minor installations as required.
  • Assist our Client Support Coordinator by documenting, photographing, and submitting necessary case documentation.
  • Serve as the primary contact for our dealers' merchandising and maintenance requests; update labeling, signage, and rack replacements as necessary.
  • Maintain and distribute marketing materials to dealers (catalogs, brochures, specification guides).
  • Proactively pursue sales leads generated through incoming inquiries, advertising campaigns, trade shows, and other promotional activities to expand our customer base.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and correspondence as needed to achieve and exceed profitable sales targets.
  • Understand and adhere to company sales policies and procedures to provide effective service to all customers and foster long-term business relationships.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly, informing management of issues and suggesting corrective measures.
  • Attend, schedule, and coordinate training sessions and trade shows as necessary.
  • Produce training, marketing, and technical literature as needed to promote the company's activities.

Please note that this position involves local travel (home daily), with occasional overnight stays required (approximately 20%).

A company vehicle and trailer will be provided.

**This role offers an opportunity to transition general labor skills into a potential sales career, gaining experience in customer service and response strategies, as well as product-specific knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of hardscape experience (installations, cleaning of pavers and walls, etc.)
  • Proficient in operating concrete saws.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred or a strong desire to pursue a sales career.
  • Valid Driver's License; a clean driving record is essential for this role.
  • Comfortable operating a trailer as needed.
  • Previous customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

Employees must frequently transport and move items weighing up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Employees must be able to identify color blends, variances, and non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this role, employees are regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; this includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders and position themselves in tight spaces. Employees are frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear.
