Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at PCC Natural Markets. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including production cooking, food cost analysis, recipe development, and ordering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide and model excellent, professional customer service to our customers.
  • Oversee and direct kitchen staff, including Co-Production Specialists, Kitchen Managers, and Production Specialists.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and food preparation procedures to ensure high-quality products and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Analyze food costs and develop strategies to reduce waste and optimize inventory management.
  • Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, including production cooking, food cost analysis, and recipe development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct kitchen staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations and standards.
