Job Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our Global Service Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their industrial equipment is running at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive service tasks on industrial equipment, including robot calibrations, software updates, and general troubleshooting.
  • Provide expert guidance to customers on the efficient use of their equipment, ensuring they achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer issues, identifying immediate fixes for machine shutdowns and proposing longer-term improvements.
  • Partner with clients to develop customized solutions, working closely with our Engineering team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Install aftermarket parts and products, leveraging our expertise to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Identify spare parts demand and collaborate with our back-office team to optimize inventory management.
  • Deliver high-quality service reports, highlighting value propositions and recommendations for customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering a premium image for Lincoln Electric as a leading equipment and automation solution provider.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 75% of the year) to support customer needs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in installation/servicing of high-value industrial machinery.
  • Strong software, electrical, and mechanical skillset, with knowledge of robotic welding equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to travel and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent English (written and verbal) and strong service mindset.
  • Current and valid US driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certifications in an engineering field, ideally in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or any other language.
Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, airborne particles, and machine lubricants and chemicals used in cleaning processes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to stand/walk on cement floors, use hands to finger, handle, or grasp, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that weigh up to 60 pounds. The employee will frequently be required to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs of force. The employee will frequently be required to see fine components and possess manual dexterity to properly place and solder these components.
