Job Summary

Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to employees, delivering patient care, and coordinating patient teaching activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze assessment data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Ohio Nursing Practice Act and Mercy Health policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership to staff in a collaborative environment that offers job satisfaction, education, empowerment, recognition, and stimulates innovative thinking.
  • Assess and maintain staffing levels that are responsive to patient care needs and that optimizes productivity.
  • Communicate job standards and expectations, lead regular meetings with employees, and foster an environment for effective communication.
  • Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
  • Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Licensure/Certification: Current nursing license in the State of Ohio, BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a RN in an acute environment
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, national certification in clinical specialty or leadership
