Commercial Roofing Operations Manager

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Roofing Service Manager to oversee service and repair operations in our Central Florida location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing safe productivity, ensuring job site safety, and leading service crews to deliver timely, cost-effective service to our customers while maintaining acceptable gross margins within the branch.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Policy and Procedure: Ensure that all service personnel receive training on Tempest Safety Policies and Procedures and that all safety procedures are followed daily. Additionally, ensure that all necessary safety equipment is available.
- Supervision: Provide necessary supervision to all direct reports to deliver the expected service and quality aligned with Tempest Roofing's standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: Focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations and delivering our value proposition to ensure overall customer satisfaction within the assigned branch. This includes maintaining response times, completing work orders, and providing necessary training.
- Work Order Completion: Ensure that all service requests are completed in a timely manner, with the highest quality, and in a professional manner, including completing and submitting all required service documentation for each service work order.
- Service Response Times: Schedule crews daily to meet the response times specified by our customer's service requests.
- Training: Identify and address the training needs of the service employees within the assigned branch, and assist them in obtaining the necessary training.
- Sales Support: Work closely with sales to increase service sales in the branch.
- Minimum Three (3) + years of experience in the commercial roofing industry or related relevant construction experience
- Basic knowledge of computers including Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Must have the ability to calculate figures and be able to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record to be cleared to drive a company vehicle
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to travel when local work is not available
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays in emergency situations
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time on a regular basis throughout the day.
- Must be able to frequently ascend/descend ladder up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in varied extreme weather condition (extreme hot and extreme cold weather).
- Load and unload material and equipment from variant heights.
- Load material and equipment from vehicles on and off the roof.
- Lift heavy objects by hand or with a host and clean work area.
- Shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand metal snow, or dirt.
