We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Heartwood House Detox, a six-bed private residential facility in Marin County. Our facility provides care and support to individuals making the decision to live a drug and alcohol-free life.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Paramedic to provide high-quality care to our clients, including new patient intakes, patient discharge, and collection of samples for testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, recording and updating patient histories, and providing direct care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications
  • Conduct new patient intakes and discharge patients as needed
  • Collect samples for testing and record patient histories
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care

Requirements:

  • Current Paramedic Certification and licensure in the State of California
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Paramedic, preferably in a drug and alcohol treatment and/or detox facility
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
