Clinical Assistant II

South East Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Assistant II to join our team. As a Clinical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.

• Pre-Visit Preparation
  • Review patient charts to ensure all necessary forms and information are complete.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and medications as required.
• Patient Care
  • Accurately collect and document patient information in their chart.
  • Transport patients within the facility as needed.
  • Assist with procedures, treatments, and minor office surgeries.
• Sanitation and Maintenance
  • Sanitize exam rooms between patients.
  • Ensure exam room supplies are organized and stocked.
• Communication and Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in daily/weekly/monthly QA checks on equipment and maintain logs.

• Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications and Experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One year of experience in healthcare or customer service required.
• Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment and computer-based health information systems.
