We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and taking high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures and protocols
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures and observe patients for vital signs during examination
  • Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment and select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis
  • Examine radiologic images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
  • Prep patients for exams by having them put on a gown or shorts and remove any foreign objects, including jewelry, buttons, zippers, etc.
  • Perform quality control of images on DR/CR machines and Stentor, and check to ensure all information (images and paperwork) are present for radiologists
  • Authorize release of patients upon completion of radiologic examination
  • Assist with procedures, including operating the C-Arm and its various functions under the direction of a physician
  • Participate in training employees and student technologists in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Radiology room and equipment in accordance with infection control procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Current student or recent graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiological Technology
  • Must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year and WA state license within 1 year
