Addiction Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Addiction Therapist to join our team at Southeastern Healthcare of NC Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and treatment methodologies.

This is a full-time position that involves working with individuals struggling with addiction. As an Addiction Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing counseling sessions.

• Assessment and Treatment Planning:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the nature and extent of a client's addiction.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Counseling and Therapy:
  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to treat substance abuse disorders.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to help clients develop coping strategies and skills for recovery.
• Case Management:
  • Monitor and document client progress.
  • Adjust treatment plans as needed to meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers, social workers, and support services.
• Education and Advocacy:
  • Educate clients and their families about addiction and recovery.
  • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and community resources.
• Crisis Intervention:
  • Provide immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.
  • Develop safety plans and strategies to prevent relapse.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences.

• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Certification:
  • Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) or equivalent certification from a recognized body.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in addiction counseling or a related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and treatment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
