Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - District Wide (Pool of 6 positions)

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a district-wide pool of 6 positions. As an LPN, you will provide exceptional healthcare services to students, working collaboratively with school nurses, administrators, and other staff members to ensure the well-being of our students.

Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the supervision of a school nurse or administrator, providing nursing care to students with critical health care needs. This includes administering medications, performing health screenings, and maintaining accurate health records. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to students with critical health care needs, including administering medications and performing health screenings.
  • Work collaboratively with school nurses, administrators, and other staff members to ensure the well-being of students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff members regarding student health concerns.
  • Participate in health education and promotion activities to promote student health and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Current Washington State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual skills.
  • Knowledge of state codes related to school health services.
  • Training in emergency medical treatment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials or illnesses during the course of their duties.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud on occasion.
