Position Overview

We are excited to announce a sign-on incentive for qualified full-time Surgical Technologist roles. The sign-on bonus varies based on your experience in Surgical Technology.

Experience Levels and Bonuses:

0-1 years:

2-year commitment: $10,000

3-year commitment: $12,000

1-2 years:

2-year commitment: $10,000

3-year commitment: $17,000

2+ years:

2-year commitment: $15,000

3-year commitment: $25,000

JOB SUMMARY:

This role involves executing both direct and indirect technical responsibilities for patients throughout surgical procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Updates physician preference lists and ensures team members are informed of modifications. (25%) Manages inventory for the designated service area. (20%) Conducts counts of sponges, needles, and instruments. (15%) Trains new team members in the assigned service area and supervises junior surgical technicians. (15%) Assists in preparing the surgical operating room with necessary instruments and supplies. (15%) Scrubs in the required manner and provides instruments to the physician during surgery. (10%) Performs additional duties as assigned or necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical institution; or three to six months of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after the specified date must: Successfully complete a Surgical Technologist program accredited by a recognized institution and maintain certification from an accredited program. Certification must be obtained within six months of program completion. - OR- Be employed in surgical technology by the healthcare facility on or before the specified date -OR- Have been employed in surgical technology as the primary function in another healthcare facility within the two years preceding the specified date. CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of three years of experience in surgical scrub specialty.
