Job Title: Software Engineer

Canonical is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet the needs of our customers.

About the Role

This is a globally remote role that requires a high level of autonomy and self-motivation. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers to develop and maintain our software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications using Python and other programming languages
  • Collaborate with our team of engineers to develop and maintain our software applications
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly
  • Work with helpful and talented engineers including experts in a diverse set of fields
  • Travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
Requirements
  • Proven hands-on experience in software development using Python
  • Proven hands-on experience in distributed systems development
  • Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
