Job Opportunity

Restaurant Depot, a leading wholesale restaurant supplier, is seeking a skilled Wine Steward/Merchandiser to join our team in Fife, WA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the merchandising activities of all wines and spirits. You will work closely with Regional and Branch Managers to improve merchandising standards within our warehouses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice and suggestions to customers while shopping for wine and spirits, building strong relationships with our vendors.
  • Place calls and/or visit potential customers in assigned areas to promote our products.
  • Ensure the warehouse follows policies and procedures related to wine and spirits merchandising, sales, and product placement.
  • Follow up with customers as requested by the Branch Manager.
Requirements
  • Exemplary customer service skills, with the ability to interact with business customers and make recommendations.
  • Familiarity with wine, spirits, and beer production terminology, phases of product processing, and varieties.
  • Knowledge of foreign product names and terms to ensure customers understand the products they are purchasing.
  • Basic math skills, including metric calculations for end-user consumption.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers, vendors, and internal associates.
  • Detailed-oriented, organized, with follow-through and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to lift and move product (50 lbs) when needed and use safety equipment (ladders).
  • Basic PC skills with MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
