Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patient responses to these interventions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional evaluations, to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in maternal health care.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of West Virginia or a compact state.
  • One year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
