The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and respectful clinical environment. As a proactive and collaborative team player, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver individualized care that meets the unique needs of each patient.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Provides relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to the patient's specific characteristics, such as age, gender, and disease, in a manner that respects cultural diversity.
- Partners with patients and significant others to set and achieve patient goals, using effective communication methods such as bedside shift report and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Practices using current clinical practice standards and coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care.
- Covers the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment.
- Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participates in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe and quality patient care.
- Completes all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a qualified workforce and modeling the professional practice of nursing.
Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing - Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact, Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor
Additional License(s) and Certification(s)Required Minimum ExperienceMinimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience Required
Required Minimum SkillsAbility to read, write, and speak English language, optimize the use of technology to support clinical care, and holds basic computer skills. Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills, along with customer service skills required. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner. Possess excellent time management skills, practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills, and possesses strong critical thinking skills.
