In PSLD, our primary focus is on customer satisfaction and facilitating their journey towards a better world. We engage with nearly every aspect of the service value chain, from procurement and design to manufacturing and distribution.
PSLD oversees Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement, and the design and production of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) as well as Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
As a Robotics Automation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing intricate automation engineering projects that span multiple functions, organizations, products, or value chains.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating with vendors and operational teams to design, implement, and deploy robotic and autonomous vehicle technologies across the PSLD Parts Distribution network globally.
You will also provide consultative support across various divisions within Caterpillar as needed.Key Responsibilities:
• Develop project scopes to tackle business challenges and seize opportunities.
• Coordinate resources across operations, procurement, engineering, IT, and vendor partners.
• Monitor project progress and expenses; communicate updates to stakeholders and involved departments; proactively address and resolve issues.
• Lead project staffing; inspire and cultivate the development of project teams and their members.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Caterpillar management as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated knowledge of specific technologies and their various applications; ability to devise and deliver solutions to significant technical challenges.
Provide guidance to others on assessing and delivering comprehensive technical solutions.Engage relevant subject matter experts to effectively resolve technical challenges.
Mentor others in promoting, defining, analyzing, and delivering superior technical solutions to business issues.
Deliver effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through robust technical expertise, carefully evaluating the implications of events and issues.

Requirements Analysis:

Take an active leadership role in documenting and developing comprehensive requirement documents in various formats.Ensure the successful completion of all major activities, tasks, and deliverables related to the requirements analysis phase.
Create detailed functional and informational requirements models and documentation. Utilize automated diagramming tools to ensure traceability of requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Project Management Certification (PMP).
• Previous experience with manufacturing or logistics automation applications.
• Prior experience with warehouse technology design and implementation.
• Experience with autonomous vehicles and/or robotics.
