Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Assistant Trainee will train with certified staff to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This role will encompass classroom and clinical training. The CNA Trainee will assist and provide for residents in the activity of daily living in accordance with the individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities:

Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred

Experience:
None required

Previous healthcare experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to speak and write the English language

Effective communication skills, including approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness, and non-verbal communication

Ability to learn the application of the assessment into the aging process, including height/weight, skin integrity, ADLs, bowel and bladder control

Working Conditions:
Intermittent exposure to unpleasant physical conditions
