Job Overview

Position Summary

The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing sophisticated analytics that deliver insights into our Distributed Products sector, focusing on Margins, Customer Dynamics, and Product Categories.

This role requires collaboration across various departments with Divisional Business Partners to design, develop, and implement effective analytical solutions.

Key responsibilities include monitoring departmental and company-wide KPIs and executing strategies to enhance data quality and reporting.
  • Construct and maintain extensive financial models to evaluate sales performance, margins, and vendor relationships.
  • Design dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate essential metrics and trends utilizing business intelligence tools.
  • Employ data mining techniques (SQL, Python, PowerBI, Alteryx) to generate new and valuable insights.
  • Facilitate process enhancements through the management of BI tools, reporting, and visualization capabilities.
  • Engage in in-depth analytical projects in collaboration with Finance leadership to guide strategy or reveal new insights.
  • Develop comprehensive forecasting models at the customer/vendor level to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Stay informed on BI trends, including emerging technologies and data visualization techniques.
  • Assist in the development and execution of financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze industry trends and benchmarks to maintain competitive positioning and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to consolidate and manage extensive data sets.
  • Experience with an ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business; MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting.
  • Expertise in constructing detailed financial models to assess sales, margins, and vendor performance.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Experience with automation tools, databases, and big data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau/PowerBI and in-depth knowledge of SQL.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Python/Pandas.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to complex challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
