Software Engineering Specialist

As a Software Engineering Specialist, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Software Engineering. You will review and analyze basic or tactical Software Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables. You will present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will provide information to client personnel in Software Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Software Engineering.
Review and analyze basic or tactical Software Engineering assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Provide information to client personnel in Software Engineering.
Requirements:
2+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Looking for a Java engineer to provide additional capacity to support and maintain two critical applications as part of an existing scrum team.
The team has an established SME that can provide knowledge transfer and will remain with the team to support the same applications.
Will need a self-starter with a proven track record of working independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
Reporting manager will be in a separate location. The individual should be strong with Java Spring Framework, Hibernate and SQL Server.
Experience with Angular, RestAPI, Automation test frameworks would be a plus.
