The Role

The Senior Lead Technical Project Manager plays a vital role in managing the technical infrastructure of an existing optical network.

This critical position requires strong technical acumen, sound interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to interact with customers, contractors, and internal corporate personnel.

The Senior Lead Technical Project Manager will report directly to the Sr. Manager Federal Programs and provide technical leadership and direction to ensure required actions are taken to meet customer requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of operations personnel at three 24x7x365 geographically separate Network Operations Centers (NOC).
  • Be on call 24x7x365 to respond to all network-related issues.
  • Deliver support to business development through regular customer interface.
  • Provide oversight for the day-to-day Network Management/Defense activities and all aspects of NOC operations.
  • Participate in the analysis, source selection, acquisition, and installation of hardware, software, and facilities.
  • Develop or enhance current policies, procedures, or reporting templates, and obtain feedback from all affected groups to meet customer requests.
  • Interface with network users and customers on status reporting and coordinating downtime for ASIs, PMIs, and exercises.
  • Develop and present professional impromptu and prepared briefings to senior-level military and civilian leaders.
  • Compose professionally written documentation to support the diverse operations environment.
  • Formulate quick, sound decisions based on experience, established procedures, and available data.
  • Assess and document subordinate personnel and make tough decisions to identify top performers.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly metrics.
  • Input NOC data into PowerPoint and present at weekly customer meetings.
  • Estimated 5% of the time is travel; however, the amount of travel is dependent on the current mission requirement and operations environment.
Requirements
  • Top Secret security clearance mandatory and current SCI indoctrination is mandatory.
  • Prior NOC experience is mandatory.
  • Prior supervisory experience is mandatory.
  • Ten or more years of experience in the Information Technology field and five or more years working in a fast-paced operations center environment.
  • Previous experience with Government networks and customers.
  • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Defense, or like discipline preferred.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $139,690 - $183,500 per year, depending on location. This range is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.

Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications and location.
