Job Summary:
Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physician (MD/DO) to fill a Family Practice position in Williamsburg, VA. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures as needed
- Provide cross-coverage for other physicians and medical staff
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Manage admissions and potential rapid turnover
Requirements:
- Active VA medical license
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least 3 years of experience as a Physician or Practitioner
- Strong experience working with patients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
Work Environment:
This is a locum tenens opportunity, with a minimum commitment of 3 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
