VulcanForms seeks a skilled Digital Infrastructure Architect to join our Devens, MA location.

About the Role:

We are establishing an SRE function to manage our digital infrastructure, and as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be pivotal in leveraging modern SRE methodologies to enhance our systems. Your expertise will help us achieve high availability, performance, and security for our critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Linux system and network configurations for our production network, edge nodes, and factory-level data center.
  • Operate and manage services such as PXE boot, security/PKI services, container orchestration, service discovery, and service mesh.
  • Script, monitor, and optimize systems for reliability, performance, and security.
  • Establish and manage Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives (SLI/SLO).
  • Proactively solve problems and initiate improvements in system reliability.
  • Manage vendor relationships for infrastructure systems and oversee Capex/Opex planning.
  • This position has on-call responsibilities to manage critical infrastructure incidents.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Linux distributions, particularly Ubuntu.
  • Proficient in Linux networking, including routing, firewall configurations, and network services like DHCP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, SNMP, LDAP.
  • Experience with PKI services, focusing on certificate management and key security.
  • Management experience with storage solutions like NAS, Object/S3, and NFS.
  • Experience managing High Available systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvements.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
