Sterilization Specialist

About the Role:
The OR Sterilizer at Mia Aesthetics is responsible for preparing, sterilizing, and cleaning all surgical instruments used in surgeries and medical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply sanitary, infection control, and safety standards in preparing and sanitizing surgical instruments.
- Accurately and safely handle instruments in accordance with our sterilization process.
- Accurately and safely handle sterile processing equipment and ensure equipment is properly working at all times.
- Correctly peel-pack supplies/instruments, wrap instruments for sterilization, inspect each instrument for use, function, completeness, and cleanliness.
- Document and maintain accurate sterilization records.
- Perform simple maintenance on equipment (i.e., clean filters and drains).
- Prepare trays for designated areas according to policies and procedures.
- Document and maintain inventory of supplies and materials.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma minimum requirement.
- Holds and maintains an active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication across various audiences.
- Strong listening skills with the ability to quickly comprehend instructions from OR staff team members.
- Excellent team player.
