Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping us provide high-quality patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform contrast media administration according to age/weight specific guidelines.
- Set up sterile trays and maintain a sterile field, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Scrub and assist interventional physicians during procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of drugs, their actions, side effects, and contraindications for administration.
- Exhibit the ability to start and maintain IV access.
- Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- One or both of the following: current license or registry certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or completion of this advanced registration within one year of hire date.
- Current license or registry of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and licensed through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)].
- BLS required. Completion of ACLS training within 6 months of hire.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath lab, EP lab experience preferred. Will consider new graduates of RCIS programs.
Our estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and more.
