Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Water sector team at Mott MacDonald. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering efforts on municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and lead engineering efforts for planning, design, and construction phase services on water/wastewater projects.
  • Lead and review detailed calculations for pumping systems, including system head development, pump selection, and surge analysis.
  • Use hydraulic modeling software to analyze and design water/wastewater systems.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and engineer's estimates of construction costs.
  • Support field investigations and information collection, including participating in or leading field testing to validate designs.
  • Analyze data, review technical information, and conduct technical evaluations.
  • Assist with construction submittal review, respond to contractor information requests, and interpret contract documents.
  • Lead system start-up of complicated pumping systems and controls.
Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain a Florida PE within 6 months.
  • 15+ years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of pumping systems and hydraulics utilizing HI standards for systems with a relative degree of complexity.
  • Strong technical capabilities related to pumping, piping, and hydraulics.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present effective technical reports.
