Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney specializing in Bankruptcy Law. This role is based in Warren, MI, and involves overseeing bankruptcy cases from inception to resolution. The Associate Attorney will draft essential legal documents and advocate for clients in court proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bankruptcy cases effectively, ensuring thorough representation throughout the legal process.
  • Draft and prepare various legal documents pertinent to bankruptcy cases.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients on intricate bankruptcy matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law institution and licensed to practice in Michigan or California.
  • 1-3 years of experience in bankruptcy law, demonstrating a solid grasp of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional legal research and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Proficient time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
  • Experience handling Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.
