Role Overview:

The EHS Coordinator will support the site EHS Manager in promoting EHS compliance, cultivating a robust safety culture, and minimizing workplace injuries. This role is essential in ensuring that all regulatory obligations concerning Safety, Security, Environment, and Workers' Compensation are not only met but exceeded. The aim is to continuously mitigate risks and costs associated with the behaviors and conditions of employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong, positive relationships with team members at all levels to create a collaborative safety environment.
  • Deliver precise and consistent guidance to all facility personnel, adhering to safety best practices and relevant policies.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards and recommend effective solutions.
  • Compile safety reports and gather data to establish metrics that highlight trends and improvements in safety initiatives.
  • Manage safety communication boards and update safety monitor presentations as required.
  • Maintain an inventory of safety supplies and place orders as needed.
  • Oversee and facilitate employee safety recognition programs.
  • Conduct and manage various safety training sessions.
  • Lead new hire safety orientations for both full-time and temporary staff.
  • Engage in accident investigations to determine root causes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or light industrial setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English, both written and orally.

Shift: 3rd (10:00 pm - 6:30 am)
