Corewell Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. This full-time role is integral to our pediatric psychiatry multidisciplinary team, focusing on the assessment and treatment of children with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide ongoing psychiatric care for pediatric patients.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain a collaborative practice agreement with supervising physicians while exercising independent clinical judgment.
- Facilitate educational support for patients and their families, as well as health team members.
- Engage in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
Position Highlights:
- 100% outpatient practice with potential for inpatient coverage if desired.
- Flexible hybrid work model, combining onsite clinic days with virtual consultations.
- Structured appointment times, including 90-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute follow-ups.
- Supportive administrative and clinical staff to assist in patient care.
- Utilization of EPIC for electronic health records management.
Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner:
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience in child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Michigan.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physician Assistant:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Michigan.
- Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
